The Dumbing Down of America by The Duck Dinosaurs
As test scores confirm, the nationwide academic achievements of American kids continues its slide down the world scale. Except for the bright spots of some of our most recent immigrants, the Indians and Chinese as n example, who are not hindered by our wild west, redneck shoot 'em up, hip hop culture. Our once proud country continues its slide into irrelevance and mediocrity.
The concerns of a startling number of our ignorant, intellectually bereft citizenry has shifted to the defense of fundamentally errant fundamentalist bible totters who somehow justify their actions and beliefs as the word of God. Up until now, I never thought that Jesus was a redneck, but it must say so somewhere in the bible.
Duck Dynasty and and a rash of either idiotic, low-brow or pornographic entertainment offerings, have captured the weak hearts and minds of our IQ deficient citizenry. Due to racist and anti gay statements from the family’s patriarch, the Duck Dynasty show was cancelled in a widely publicizes move, then reinstated because of pressures from the duck loving redneck community who have found common ground in the statements uttered my Robertson..
But the finger of shame surely should be pointed at ABC and the A&E network for their cancellation reversal. Apparently the gay and black communities do not have enough influence on the bottom line profits of those institutions to warrant a cancellation of the show or at least the departure of the head duckster.
Robertson, his duck family and the fraternity of rednecks who idolize this opportunistic family’s message are the descendants of folks who fostered and defended slavery, the Ku Klux Klan, segregation, anti Catholic, anti gay and anti black sentiments.
They proudly identify as "rednecks". While the rest of the world and a majority of their countrymen think of them as ignorant clowns who have come to epitomize the backward hillbilly image of the south. Apparently, this redneck segment of our population is the audience the networks are hoping to hold on to. The rednecks have struck again and won another battle in their attempt to call attention to sorry redneck culture. Scratch that, I mean redneck lack of culture and refinement
If America needs a duck leader, Donald is waiting in the wings.Intolerance raises its ugly head once again. Doesn't it just quack you up?
One more comment about the redneck population, some of whom descend from our country's earliest settlers.
As millions of recent immigrants entered this country over the past 100 plus years from Europe, they were for the most part, uneducated and unable to speak the language Their goals, that were quickly realized by the next generation were to get educated and improve their lot among their countrymen. They did not celebrate a tradition of backwoods ignorance like many among us who appear to be proud of that phase of their history and development.. The immigrants defeated it and did not not propagate or wear that ignorance proudly like the Duck Dynasty members and their followers.
